The “Tired Englishwoman” is the trendiest aesthetic of fall. Here’s what you need to know about her

In the age of social networks, trends are replacing each other so quickly that even industry representatives do not always have time to follow them. Almost every week, users come up with new “fluff” and invite others to try out their outdated style tricks or create looks based on a certain theme. So this summer, the Brat Summer aesthetic dominated the show that emerged thanks to Charli XCX and her album. Then everyone switched to the trend codenamed Very Demure and began to dress very modestly.

One of the dominant aesthetics this fall was the Worn-Out Englishwoman, a.k.a. the jaded Englishwoman. Like the heroines of Bridget Jones’s Diary, Love Actually, and Imagine Us Together. They wear cozy sweaters and stretchy cardigans, a casual scarf and a hat, crab hair pins, and almost no makeup.

But it wasn’t until this fall that the virus really hit me. We’ve rounded up 10 cool Frazzled English Woman looks that are worth repeating in the new season.
