For 40 years, MTV has been honoring music industry stars who have created the best music videos. That night, the long-awaited ceremony took place, with Taylor Swift the most nominated artist. Along with her, Tyla, Beyoncé, Eminem and others were also honored.
The stars not only received their awards, but also showed off their elegance on the red carpet. But let’s be honest, some of the outfits really surprised us. For example, one of the unidentified guests showed up to the ceremony wearing a potato chip outfit.
Katy Perry also matched her image with MTV’s signature figurine. The singer chose a “wet” style for her hairstyle, but the strands got tangled in the transparent tubes of the dress and looked completely different than expected. The star’s makeup was reminiscent of the 90s style: blue shadows, lots of blush and almost invisible lip liner.
