Warner Bros Japan has released a new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of the classic time loop novel All you need is to killand it looks really cool! This is the same novel that Tom Cruise’S Edge of tomorrow the film was adapted from.
In the film, “After an unidentified plant invasion of space, Rita finds herself trapped in a time loop, forced to relive the same day over and over again. With each loop, she learns. She fights. Her memories and experiences hone her skills, transforming her into a formidable warrior.
“However, the endless cycle of death and loneliness begins to wear on her. Then she meets Keiji. ‘I have repeated this day too,’ he tells her. Two lost souls, trapped in an endless war. Could their meeting change fate?”
Director Kenichiro Akimoto said in a statement: “I am honored to be involved in the adaptation of this wonderful novel into an animated film. In the process of animating this manga and the Hollywood film, I hope that the value of this work can be further enhanced with STUDIO4°C’s signature video expression. And I hope that the people who have seen it find a little hope of living in the daily life that repeats itself.”
The film is a Hiroshi Sakurazaka production with animation by STUDIO4°C in Japan. All you need is to kill It’s currently scheduled for release in Japan on January 9, 2026. I can’t wait to watch it!
