Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for its upcoming boxing drama The fire insidewhich tells the inspiring true story of Claressa Shieldswho is probably the greatest female boxer of all time.
Claressa, a high school senior from Flint, Michigan, with the help of her tough coach, Jason Crutchfield, breaks all barriers to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing.
“But even at the height of her success, Claressa must come to terms with the fact that not all dreams are created equal and the real fight has just begun.”
I love a good movie that inspires me and fills my soul with hope and joy, and it looks like this will be one of those movies. I will definitely watch it!
The film was directed by Rachel Morisi from a screenplay written by by Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, Mufasa). The stars of the film Ryan’s Destiny AND My Friend Brian Tyree Henry.
The fire inside will be released in theaters this Christmas.
