Inside Look: Trailer for Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks’ World War II series MASTERS OF THE AIR

Apple TV+ has released a trailer from inside the Steven Spielberg AND Tom Hanks-series produced during the Second World War Lords of the Air. The video features new footage from the historical drama along with interviews with the cast and crew discussing the show and its epic scope and scope.

Being a huge fan of Band of Brothers and The Pacific, I’m excited to watch this show! It looks amazing and I’ve always been fascinated by WWII pilots so I’ve been waiting for it and it looks like it’s going to be an amazing show!

The series is based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Millerand follows the true story of “the American bombers of World War II who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep.”

Producer Gary Goetzman previously spoke about the series, saying, “Masters of the Air is a tribute to the brave men of the 8th Air Force, who, through their courage and brotherhood, helped defeat Nazi Germany in World War II . Tom and Steven had always wanted to cinematically visualize what our author Don Miller called, this ‘singular event in the history of warfare’. We are thrilled that Apple TV+ has given us the opportunity to combine the efforts of so many talented people, on screen and behind the camera, to tell this important story.”

Austin Butler stars in the series as Major Gale Cleven Barry Keoghan as Lieutenant Curtis Biddick and Callum Turner as Major John Egan. The large ensemble cast was also present Anthony Boyle as Major Harry Crosby, Nate Mann as Major Robert Rosenthal, e Raff Law as Sergeant Ken Lemmons.

Written by John Orloff, Masters of the Air is produced by Apple Studios, Hanks and Goetzman’s Playtone and Spielberg’s Amblin Television. Executive producer Cary Joji Fukunaga he directed multiple episodes, along with Dee Rees and the duo of Anna Boden AND Ryan Fleck.

The show will debut its first two episodes on the streaming platform on Friday, January 26, 2024, followed by a new episode every Friday through March 15, 2024.
