Apple TV+ has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming action-comedy spy thriller, Argyle. The video anticipates a “crazy” and “amazing” film and the “madness” of the director Matthew Vaughn.

The video features Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa and more discussing how Vaughn fans should prepare for a “non-stop,” “slightly crazy” thriller. It also offers some fun clips from the film.

Here is the synopsis:

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling spy novels, whose idea of happiness is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books, centering on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate, begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.

Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a spy allergic to cats, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of assassins as the lines between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begin to blur.

This is said to be the first of at least three films in the series and is set in America, London and several locations around the world.

Jason Fuchs he wrote the screenplay and is producing it alongside Vaughn’s regular collaborators Adam Bohling AND David Reid. Vaughn previously said: “When I read this first draft manuscript, I thought it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Flemingbooks from the 1950s. This will reinvent the spy genre.

Argyle will be released in theaters on February 2, 2024.
