Irina Starshenbaum was a guest in the new episode of the “Meanwhile” program on VK Video. The actor shared his memories of the beginning of his career in a conversation with Garik Kharlamov, Azamat Musagaliev and Denis Dorokhov. It should be noted that the star of the movie “Gravity” has no formal acting training.
“There were always a lot of talented people around me: cameramen, directors, artists, all uneducated. When I started acting, I attended various trainings. For example, I worked with Ivana Chubbuck. “I spent a lot of money for this,” he said on the show. Ivana Chubbuck is a famous acting coach. He has worked with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and other Hollywood stars.
Starshenbaum also noted that he has knowledge in the field of psychology and pedagogy: “I studied at the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy for two years and played my first role there, Rose from The Little Prince.”

In 2017, Irina Starshenbaum told how she started her cinema career: “Sasha (friend of the actress – Note ed.) insisted very seriously, he said that he had friends who were going to make a movie, it did not matter to them whether the actor was a professional or not, they just had to go there for the audition. And somehow slowly I started to get involved in this whole story. Either in a movie or in some kind of commercial, and fortunately they were always commercials that were not very commercial, and I didn’t have time to appear so much that I said: “He’s a commercial actor.”
