Robert Pattinson, 38, was convinced that cinema was in decline and almost decided to quit his acting career after the pandemic and two major strikes in Hollywood. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the artist explained why he became interested in cinema again.

This, he says, is due to recent movies, including his friend Brady Corbett’s Brutalist. “For the last few years in the film industry, since the pandemic and the strikes, everyone has been constantly saying that cinema is dead. And it sounded pretty convincing. It literally almost ran me off the road. “It’s starting to bother me a little bit,” said Robert Pattinson.
The actor explained that there has been “an influx of very ambitious films” in the last few months. “I think the movie that’s nominated for an Oscar this year is going to be really interesting, and it seems like there’s suddenly a new breed of director that audiences are excited about,” the star said.
Robert Pattinson hopes “Parasite” director Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi comedy “Mickey 17” will be released “at a time of cinema excitement.” The movie will be released in March.
