Author Neil Gaiman has broken his silence on allegations of harassment from his ex-wife, maid and other women. The author denies his guilt.
The author of The Sandman and Coraline wrote on her personal blog: “I have never had non-consensual sexual intercourse. Never”.
In the full statement, the author expressed his regret for the mistakes he made in the relationship and said that he focused too much on himself. He also emphasized that he denied any accusations of sexual violence and did not intend to confess to something he did not do.
The first news of harassment by a writer was made last summer. Because of this, production on the second season of The Sandman, based on Gaiman’s book, was suspended. The third and final season of the film adaptation of Good Omens was canceled and the series itself was reformatted as a movie. Neil Gaiman himself was forced to resign as showrunner.
