Cher, “Mamma Mia!” He plans to act in the third part of the movie. “We’re talking about this. I don’t know when they’re going to do it, but I know they’re discussing it,” Cher told Entertainment Weekly.
The star joined the music franchise with the second movie, Mamma Mia! 2018. She played the mother of the late Donna (Meryl Streep), who appeared unannounced to her granddaughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) and company at the hotel’s opening. Once there, she reunites with her ex, Fernando (Andy Garcia).
Cher and Meryl Streep have been friends for decades, dating back to their collaboration in the 1983 film Silkwood. They are so close that Cher is trying to bring Streep back for the third movie, even though her character died in the second movie.
