Former Oxford academic and Harvard medical student Nick Norviv experimented on himself and ate 720 eggs a month. He decided to test the theory about the dangers of cholesterol.

In order to eat 720 eggs per month, you need to eat one egg almost every hour during this period. But the 28-year-old scientist was not afraid of such a diet, and the results were surprising.

After a month-long experiment, Nick’s level of “bad” cholesterol, which is not involved in cell production but settles in the form of plaque, dropped by 20 percent. But it was previously believed that a large number of eggs in the diet, on the contrary, stimulates its growth.

“In fact, it is now known that almost 80 percent of the cholesterol in our body is produced in the liver, and recent research suggests that eating eggs will not raise your cholesterol levels or increase your risk of heart disease if you are healthy,” Nick said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

It is worth noting that Nick Norviv has already received his PhD in human brain metabolism from the University of Oxford and is currently studying to become a doctor at Harvard University.

For the sake of science, Nick bought eggs with his own money, but now he can continue his experiment without compromising his budget. A well-known chicken egg producer offered to provide the scientist with fresh eggs free of charge for a year so that he could continue his experiment. The researcher happily accepted and stated that he would spend the money he saved on education.
