At the beginning of July, the digital art festival “Hour of Digital” started in the New Tretyakov Gallery. Here, not only to become famous and sought-after media artists, project participants will also be able to make our world better, more beautiful and more comfortable.

The world’s first online digital art festival, “Hour of Digital”, will showcase the work of media professionals on digital screens in participating cities. Believe me, this is the case when you can be an unknown digital artist yesterday and in the fall your work will be seen by millions. The festival will be a platform where young artists can make their statements on the digital heritage of the future in five categories: “Information science-art”, “New aspects of reality”, “Cities of the future”, “Universe of the world”. cyborgs”, “Parks of the future”, “Heritage in the digital.”

Each nomination brings to life in its own way the expansion of media art in the urban environment. For example, the artists applying for “Parks of the Future” will reflect on the connections between the cultural code and historical experience in their works. In the “Cities of the Future” category, the participants will reflect on the issue of neighborhoods in our cities and reflect on people’s lives: where will children play, how will adults’ free time be organized?

Applications for the Number Hour will be accepted between July 1 and September 16, after which the finalists will be determined. You can read more about the competition here.
