Charlie Heaton (Stranger things, The new mutants) AND Mia Wasikowska (Bergmann Island, Alice in Wonderland) will be the protagonists of the romantic comedy Twiceof which Athens-based boutique sales company Heretic has embarked on international sales.
The feature film, directed by Alena Lodkinais an Australian production which will be filmed in Perth later this year. The film is in pre-production and is supported by Screen Australia.
It is described as “an intimate, quietly unusual story of reconnection and emotional reckoning.” The film, co-written by Lodkina with Miles Allinsonfollows two people whose unexpected reunion reawakens long-buried feelings and unexpressed uncertainties about love, time, and reinvention.
Heaton will next be seen in the fifth and final season of Stranger thingswhich will debut during the Christmas holidays. He is also currently filming a series Untitled Newfoundland on Netflix.
Wasikowska is currently filming a mystery series titled The Killings: Parrish Stationwhose release is scheduled for 2026.
