The Tomb Raider series of Phoebe Waller-Bridge with Sophie Turner, according to Amazon reported

It seems that Lara Croft is in the tomb a little longer.

THE tomb Raider Series that Amazon developed, which would have been the protagonist game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner and written by Fleabag mind Phoebe Waller-BridgeAccording to reports, it was canceled before even the cameras could roll.

According to the Daily Mail, sources close to the project say that the show is “dead”. A source said: “I heard that it is not going on.”

Amazon has not confirmed or denied the relationship, so for now, fans should maintain a cautious grip on their climbing axes. However, if true, it is a rather surprising round for a project that had a serious fire power behind it.

The series was revealed for the first time at the beginning of 2023, with Waller-Bridge connected as a writer and executive producer. The show was officially ordered to the series last year and, in October 2024, reports emerged that Turner had taken part in the tests on the screen to guide the adventure like Lara Croft.

Waller-Bridge, a self-proclaimed fan, was clearly enthusiastic about the opportunity and said: “If I could tell my teenager I who was happening, I think it would have exploded.

“Tomb Raider was a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to bring it to television with such passionate collaborators. Lara Croft means a lot for me, as it does to many, and I can’t wait to go to this adventure. Batti.

Waller-Bridge’s relationship with Amazon began in 2019 with an exclusive agreement, which was renewed in 2024 but has downgraded to a first lot agreement. It is not clear whether that turn has played a role in the apparent disappearance of the show, or if the internal reshuffle of Amazon Studios has led to its silent burial.

While some fans will be disappointed by this, if it is true, I’m sure that one day we will see another live-action tomb Raider project.
