During its 20th anniversary celebration at New York Comic Con, Nickelodeon revealed two major projects that will expand the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe, which includes an all-new fighting video game and a 2D animated series on YouTube.
The panel was filled with nostalgia as members of the original cast Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack DeSena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Top), Dante Basco (Zuko), Mae Whitman (Katara) and co-creator Bryan Konietzko registered moderator Janet Varney (Korra) to celebrate two decades of bending brilliance.
One of the biggest reveals was the upcoming one-on-one fighting video game, currently titled Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.
The title will feature a roster of fan-favorite characters including Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Toph and Korra, all beautifully hand-drawn in 2D animation. Each character will showcase their elemental powers in fast-paced combat.
includes Aang gracefully bending into the air and unleashing the Avatar state, Zuko wielding his Blue Spirit mask and dual swords, and Korra bending all four elements with intense power. The game will release on consoles in summer 2026.
