Things are starting to warm up to Hogwarts because HBO has officially revealed the first wave of casting for his Harry Potter Series, and have brought a strong cast to fill those iconic positions of magical staff.
Guiding the accusation, we have John Lithgow (The crown, Dexter) will enter the wise shoes with his eyes from Capo di Albus Dumbledore. Join him is Janet McTeer (Ozark, The white queen) Like the non-infrinter but deeply respected Minerva McGonagall.
In a move that is already mixing a conversation, Paapa Essiedu (I could destroy you, The Lazzaro project) was chosen as the complicated and meditabondo Severus Snape. So, in what could be the most inspired piece of casting, Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot fuzz) is facing the adorable half giant Hagrid.

“We are happy to announce the casting of John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essadu, Nick Frost, Luke Thallon and Paul Whitehouse to interpret Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Quirrell and Filch. We are pleased to have such an extraordinary talent on the board and we can’t wait to bring these characters adorable to a new life.”
This is the first official casting confirmation for the series. As for the trio at the center of history, Harry, Ron and Hermione, HBO published an open call last autumn which according to what has been reported received over 30,000 sending.
HBO is calling the new Harry Potter show a “faithful adaptation” of JK RowlingSeries of books, with every season that immerses itself in depth in one of the novels. Their goal is to create something that captures the magic for long -standing fans while opening the door for an entire new generation.
The series was developed by Gardiner and Mylod, together with Rowling, Neil BlairAND Ruth Kenley-Letts by Brutë Film and TV, with David Heyman (Harry Potter Film) Back through golden movies. Filming should start this summer.
