Production is officially moving forward on upcoming films from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Spider-Man: The New Dayand some new set photos are giving fans their first look at Scorpion’s return.
The film marks the fourth solo release for Tom Holland as Peter Parker and is directed by Destin Daniel Crettonknown for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The film will hit theaters next summer as part of the MCU’s Phase 6 lineup.
Scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently shared several behind-the-scenes images on social media and they are featured Michele Mando returns to action as Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion.
The actor, who first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, he is seen wearing an elegant white suit. In one shot, Mando appears to be handcuffed.
Meanwhile, more photos from the set have surfaced online showing Holland once again dressed as a web-slinger. As noted by @AllOnFilm, Holland’s updated Spider-Man costume appears ready for battle, while @captaincupkicks posted a distant shot of Holland holding what appears to be the film’s script. Unfortunately, the image is too blurry to make out the details of the story.
Marvel is keeping plot details closely guarded, but Spider-Man: The New Day will be one of the most anticipated entries in the next phase of the MCU. In addition to Holland and Mando, the returning cast includes Zendaya like MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Marco Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, e Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone.
New arrivals Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-ZayasAND Trammel Tillmann they also joined the cast in undisclosed roles. There are still conflicting reports on the matter Charlie CoxDaredevil will make an appearance.
Spider-Man: The New Day hits theaters on July 31, 2026, setting the stage for the MCU’s next wave of massive events, including Avengers: Judgment Day arriving December 16, 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
