Chris Pino AND Jenny Slate are teaming up for an upcoming indie romance titled Carouselwritten and directed by Rachel Lambertthe director behind this quietly disturbing film Sometimes I think I’m dying.
While plot details are still under wraps, the project is described as a love story that has already wrapped filming in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to Pine and Slate, the cast includes Abby Ryder Fortson, Sam Waterston, Katey Sagal, Helene Yorke, Jessica HarperAND Jeffrey DeMunn.
Carousel is produced by Alex Saks together with Bobby Daly Jr. AND David Lipper from Latigo Films, with Pine and Ian Gotler producing for Barry Linen Motion Pictures.
For Pine, this marks another intriguing step in his evolving career. Fresh from his directorial debut PoolmanPine appeared recently Don’t worry darling, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thievesand Disney Wish.
Next, he will act opposite Cate Blanchett AND Dave Battista in science fiction comedy Alpha Group by brother directors David AND Nathan Zellner.
Slate, meanwhile, continues its impressive run following its Emmy-nominated performance as the opposite Michelle Williams in FX Dying for sex.
It will appear soon At the seasidea drama from Kornél Mundruczó What a co-star Amy Adams, Brett GoldsteinAND Rainn Wilsonand will also reprise his role in Disney Zootopia 2.
