We know the next two Avengers the film will bring together several characters from the Infinity Saga to face Doctor Doom.
This was recently confirmed Chris Evans he’ll be back and I think he’ll play Steve Rogers. It was previously reported that he will be joined by several other original MCU characters which could include Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Doctor Strange and more.
So, I thought, yeah, it’s a surprise, I know, but… if all these characters come back, it seems like it might be possible that Tony Stark also comes back and suits up as Iron Man again.
Now, Robert Downey Jr. he has already been cast as Victor Von Doom, but this will be a completely different character and not an evil variant of Stark. Also, I heard that the character will be unrecognizable to all the other characters.
If that were the case, it would be a big surprise if Downey Jr. suddenly also showed up as Tony Stark to help in the battle against Doctor Doom.
This is pure speculation on my part, but as we’ve learned from Marvel in the past, anything is possible and if all the Avengers came together to fight Doom, the team wouldn’t be complete without Iron Man.
I think audiences would go crazy for this, and with Downey Jr. already officially signed Avengers: Judgment Day AND Avengers: Secret Warsit could happen!

Avengers: Judgment Day will be released in theaters on May 1, 2026. The Russos did it Avengers: Secret Wars it will happen in May 2027.
