Over four years ago it was announced that the director of The raid, Gareth Evanswould be collaborating with Tom Hardy for a hardcore action thriller. Well, today Netflix revealed a first look at Hardy in the film.
The film’s story is set after “a drug deal gone wrong, a wounded detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to save a politician’s son, unveiling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.”
Hardy is joined by Whitaker Forest, Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Fargo), Justin Cornwell (Training day, The Umbrella Academy), Jessie Mei Li (Last night in Soho, Shadow and Bone) and Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann.
Supporting cast members include Quelin Sepulveda (Late nights at the movies), Luis Guzman (Boogie evenings, Magnolia), Sunny Pang (Headshot) and UFC mixed martial artist Michelle Waterson.
Netflix also revealed that the film will be released in 2025.
