Former NFL wide receiver Stedman Bailey was arrested in Florida following an incident at a shopping mall entertainment venue, People magazine reported.
The incident happened on July 27 at the Round1 entertainment center inside Pembroke Lakes Mall in Pembroke Pines. Investigators say the 35-year-old former athlete engaged in a sex act with a woman identified as Carina Manderson in view of mall visitors and staff, and that security cameras captured the encounter.
Witness account and denial
One visitor asked the pair to stop, and said Bailey then pulled up his pants. Bailey later acknowledged that both his and the woman's pants had been down, but denied that intercourse took place, attributing his behavior to intoxication. Manderson told investigators she had drunk too much and could not remember what happened.
Police said they found no evidence either person's drink had been spiked. Both were taken to jail. Bailey was charged with exposure of sexual organs.
