LG has added a new portable party speaker to its xboom lineup called the xboom Blast. The speaker is designed for high-volume use cases such as camping and outdoor events, and it is expected to go on sale in global markets this month.

Power and sound features
The xboom Blast delivers up to 220W of output when plugged in and 210W on battery power. It houses two 5.25-inch neodymium woofers and two 20mm tweeters made by Danish audio brand Peerless. The speaker also includes LG's Signature Sound tuning, developed with will.i.am.

Battery and connectivity
The speaker features virtual sound space technology, RGB ambient lighting, and support for wirelessly pairing multiple Blast speakers together. One of its most notable features is a swappable 99 Wh battery, which LG says provides up to 36 hours of use on a single charge. Because the battery can be swapped, users do not need to recharge the device during extended use.
Durability and pricing
Built for outdoor use, the xboom Blast carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and is said to have passed seven military-grade durability tests. It also includes AI-powered sound tuning and Space Calibration Pro technology, which analyzes surrounding acoustics to adjust audio output. LG has not yet announced pricing for the xboom Blast.
