Three Moscow Airports Restrict Flights After Drone Threat

Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports in Moscow have begun accepting and dispatching flights only by coordination with relevant authorities, Rosaviatsia reported.

The agency said the measure follows temporary restrictions on airspace use introduced around the three airports.

Drones intercepted overnight

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said overnight between August 10 and 11 that air defense systems had neutralized seven drones flying toward the capital. Emergency service specialists were working at the site where the drone debris fell.
