Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for Amy Adams’ next horror comedy movie Night Troywhich tells the story of a woman played by Amy Adams who finds herself literally transformed into a dog.
This is definitely another bold role that Adams is tackling and it looks like she will give a fantastic and wild performance! She is a great actress and this looks like a really unique and crazy film for her to play.
The film is based on the best-selling book, which tells the story of “a suburban mom forced to stay home to raise a young child.
“As she embraces the wild power deeply rooted in motherhood, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre, undeniable signs that she might be turning into a dog.”
Scoot McNairy (Argon, Narcos: Mexico) also plays the role of Adams’ frequently traveling husband in the film. Marianne Heller (Will you ever be able to forgive me?) directs from his own screenplay, adapted by Rachel Yoderthe debut novel of .
Speaking about Adams’ performance in the film, the director told IndieWire: “It’s incredible, I mean, we all know Amy Adams is incredible. She’s been nominated for a million Academy Awards.
“She’s incredible, but she’s really special in this movie and I’m so excited for the world to see her. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen from her before. She’s fierce and funny and dark and complicated and beautiful.”
Adams spoke about the film, saying, “It was so unique and otherworldly, unlike anything I’d ever read before,” and said she immersed herself in the character on a level that “can feel liberating at times, but also terrifying.”
The film has the tagline “Motherhood is a bitch.” It will stream on Disney’s DTC platforms as a Hulu Original in the United States. A release date has not yet been set.
