FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Set photos include the Baxter Building’s Excelsior launch pad

Some photos from the set of Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps have surfaced online, some of which show the Baxter Building’s Excelsior launch pad. Other photos include futuristic city streets and possibly even Yancy Street.

Production on the film is currently underway in London, and according to a map of this alternate reality of 1960s New York City released at Comic-Con, the Excelsior launch pad is located adjacent to the Baxter Building, and it is from there that the team will launch the Fantasticar as they set off on their adventures together.

As you will see, the “4” logo on the launch pad will glow blue in the sunlight. The film’s production team is also building entire city streets to shoot on. Since this film takes place in a unique, retro-futuristic version of New York City, they have to build these city streets because shooting on location wouldn’t work.

There is also a set photo described as a “small town”. But there is a possibility that this could actually be the location where Ben Grimm found himself, Yancy Street.
