Neon has released a new trailer for the gorgeous looking new animated film Robot dreams. The film follows the adventures and misfortunes of Dog and Robot in 1980s New York.
The dialogue-free film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 96th Academy Awards, and it was launched for the first time on the Spanish and French markets last year,
The film is based on the popular graphic novel by Sara Varon and the synopsis reads: “This moving and charming graphic novel about a dog and a robot shows us in touching detail how powerful and fragile relationships are.
“After a Labor Day trip to the beach leaves the robot rusty, immobilized in the sand, the dog must return alone to the life they shared. But the memory of their friendship remains and, as the seasons pass, the dog tries to fill the emotional void left by the loss of his closest friend, making and losing a series of friends, from a melting snowman to anteaters epicureans.
“But for the robot, lying rusty on the beach, the only relief from loneliness is in dreams.”
The film was written and directed by the director Pablo Bergerand will be released on May 31st.
