Director and head of DC Studios, James Gunnis working hard to bring us the film Supermanhis first film in the next DC Studios phase, Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The film has just begun shooting, and if that wasn’t enough work for Gunn, he has confirmed that this summer he will begin filming at the same time. the second season of his DC series Pacifier.
When asked on social media about the timeline of his Peacemaker-related Superman movie, Gunn clarified: “Yes, Pacifier happens later Superman.” One fan replied: “Including season 1?” Gunn said: The first season is not canon, but no.
The conversation continued, with Gunn reiterating: “I’ll answer again to be clear: Pacifier season 2 will take place after the events in Superman.” Another fan then asked: “Does it matter? Meaning of events in Superman will have an impact on Pacifier S2?” Gunn simply replied, “Yes.”
This is interesting information for fans of Pacifier! The actor also posted a long post Discussions post, which gave some more insight into how he’ll do the dual direction of his next projects, and also talks about a couple of his other projects in the works:
“The source is a bit uncertain but it’s true 😂. John Cena shared this on Howard Stern last week. To answer your follow-up questions: yes, we will shoot Superman and Peacemaker at the same time; yes, I wrote all the episodes; but no, in the interest of releasing the show I won’t be able to direct them all (only some); and yes, Waller is still happening and Jeremy and Christal are working hard to write great things, but the program was affected by the strikes, so it will come after Peacemaker”
