Former Greek television presenter Marietta Chrousala has travelled to Tanzania, documenting her wildlife safari and encounters with local tribes on Instagram.

The media personality gave her online followers a glimpse into her African holiday through a series of photographs and video clips posted to her personal account on Monday.

Her travel schedule centred on guided safari expeditions through the country and meetings with members of Indigenous communities living in the region.

Wildlife safari and cultural encounters

During the excursion, Chrousala captured images of native wildlife, expansive natural landscapes, and the local people she met during her travels.

Reflecting on the experience, she described Tanzania as wonderful and wrote that spending time surrounded by nature felt like a genuine blessing.

She added that the trip offered a meaningful opportunity to learn about wild animals, local tribes, and a completely different culture.

Previous travels to American canyons

The visit to East Africa comes several months after another major holiday that Chrousala shared with her family during the summer.

In late June, she travelled to the United States to explore the Grand Canyon with her relatives, calling the sight an unforgettable experience.

A day later, she visited a second canyon nearby, describing the stop to her followers as the fulfillment of one of her wildest dreams.

Career in television and pageantry

Chrousala first gained national recognition in Greece when she won the Star Hellas beauty pageant in 2003, subsequently representing the country at the Miss Universe competition.

She later built a successful career as a television host, presenting morning and lifestyle programmes on major Greek networks including Mega Channel and Alpha TV.

After stepping back from daily broadcasting, she developed her own fashion brand, focusing on handmade Greek leather sandals, while continuing to document her international journeys for her online audience.

Tanzania tourism and conservation

Tanzania remains one of the premier safari destinations in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of international visitors each year to its protected reserves.

The East African country is home to iconic wildlife habitats, including Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, where tourists travel to view lions, elephants, and leopards in their natural environments.

Cultural tourism also forms an essential part of the travel economy in Tanzania, where visitors regularly meet members of pastoralist communities like the Maasai to learn about their traditions and way of life.
