Annie Kilner has shared the first picture of her newborn daughter after revealing she had welcomed her fifth child with her husband Kyle Walker. The 33-year-old already shares four sons with the footballer and has now given birth to her first girl, whose name has not been made public.
Annie posed in a full length mirror wearing a strappy patterned maxi dress, cuddling her baby girl in her arms. She said the new arrival was worth the wait as she gushed over the latest addition to their family. Annie and Kyle announced the birth on Instagram on June 21.
Annie wrote that their precious baby girl was here safe, and that she was speechless at the amount of love the family felt and the joy she had already brought them. She added that she hoped everyone would respect their request for privacy as they enjoyed these special moments, and thanked everyone who had sent well wishes during the pregnancy and birth.
Four sons already in the family
Annie and Kyle share four sons: Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and one-year-old Rezon. A source told the Daily Mail that Annie, Kyle and the four boys were absolutely made up with their little princess, and that Annie had finally got her mini-me while Kyle had taken to being a proper girl dad. The source said it felt like the moment everything had fallen into place for the family, with lots of opportunities ahead and a bright, positive future.
A separate source told the Daily Mail in January that Annie had desperately wanted a baby to complete their family and help make their marriage stronger. The insider said Kyle came back from Italy last year and Annie made it clear afterwards that she wanted her boys to have another sibling, believing a baby would help put their troubles behind them. Family and close friends were reportedly shocked, since there were still some issues between the couple. The source said it was a bit risky, since a new baby can sometimes add more pressure to a marriage, but that everyone was happy for them and doing all they could to support Annie. The insider added that the couple's four boys were very excited about having a new sibling and had been talking about it a lot.
Marriage troubles and Lauryn Goodman
Childhood sweethearts Kyle and Annie married in 2021, but their relationship hit the rocks in January 2024 after it was revealed that Kyle was the father of Lauryn Goodman's daughter, Kinara. Goodman messaged Annie on Boxing Day 2023 to reveal she was expecting her second child with Kyle, who had previously fathered her first son, Kairo, five, during a brief break-up with Annie. The fallout saw the 96-cap defender kicked out of the family home, and Annie later served him with divorce papers.
A fresh start after a stressful pregnancy
The source said Annie was enjoying being pregnant this time around, since her last pregnancy, with Rezon, coincided with the news of Kyle's secret love child with Lauryn coming out, which put her under a lot of stress. Things could not be more different for her this time, the source said, adding that Annie and Kyle were in a much better place after putting in a lot of effort to rebuild their marriage and trust, and that Annie believed the new baby was a fresh start for all of them.
Walker fled to Italy last year to spend the second half of the season with AC Milan in a bid to escape the saga surrounding himself and Lauryn. His spell with the seven-time Champions League winners failed to produce a permanent move, and he returned to the UK to join Premier League newcomers Burnley. Playing in the north-west allowed Kyle to return to his Cheshire mansion with Annie and their four boys and rekindle their relationship.
