The secret project will be released very soon.
The sequel to Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ was expected to be this year’s biggest hit $1.7 billion with a budget of 200 million. The audience was once again fascinated by the story of emotions that lived in the head of the girl Riley. But the pleasant impression of watching “Inside Out 2” was spoiled by one fact: the threequel will be released in the 2030s.
It seems like Pixar knew that fans would want to return to the world of “Inside Out” soon, and they had prepared one surprise for fans: a spin-off series “Inside Out” will soon arrive on Disney+.
The secret project was called Dream Productions. The series will consist of just four 11-minute episodes, but each was worked on by Pixar animators involved in the production of the original films.
The story of Dream Productions is about a pair of Dream Studio directors who film Riley’s dreams. The spin-off stars Paula Pell and Richard Ayoade, with cameos that showcase most of Inside Out’s core emotions and Riley herself.
Fans are happy that Disney+ bosses have finally moved on from the endless string of Star Wars and Marvel films and are focusing on spin-offs of projects that are actually interesting to audiences.
Despite the incredible success of Inside Out 2, Pixar has yet to announce any plans to produce a threequel. The studio put all its energy into making Incredibles 3 and Toy Story 5, so Inside Out 3 is on the shelf for now.
Dream Productions will be released on Disney+ on December 11, 2024.
