According to People, 34-year-old actor Jeremy Allen White just received his high school diploma, although he did not graduate from high school.
During an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, White revealed that he never graduated from high school when he was younger. Jeremy didn’t make it, however, until his former acting teacher attended the New York Film Festival premiere of Springsteen: Get Me Out of Here and presented him with his high school diploma.
Earlier in the interview, the actor noted that he “had a hard time concentrating” while attending drama school in Manhattan and would often “leave for lunch and never come back.” “I was a bad student because I didn’t go to school very much. So I didn’t get all the grades and I never graduated from school. I never graduated because I didn’t have enough credits.”
More than a decade later, the actor’s playwriting teacher, Greg Parente, finally presented him with his diploma: “I invited him because he’s a great teacher and we remain friends, but he’s also a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, so I wanted him to come. At the end of the evening, he gave me a gift. And I said, ‘Oh, come on, this is crazy, why are you giving me a gift? ” I said. I open it and there is my high school diploma. I graduated from high school last night at the age of 34. Now I have a certificate and it is very nice.”
It was previously reported that Jeremy Allen White and Mikey Madison could star in the sequel to Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network.
