It’s the best time of his life for Andrew Garfield, who stars in A Time to Live. The Amazing Spider-Man star opened up about filming the film in a new interview.
“When I read the script, I thought deeply about the meaning of life. “That always occupies my thoughts, especially at that moment,” the 41-year-old actor shared at a press conference at the San Sebastian Film Festival. “I was thinking about life, death, love and time… I had a kind of midlife crisis when I was 39-40. I was going through it, looking back and forward and asking myself: “What happens now?” – Us Weekly quotes him.
“This script felt like I wrote it myself,” he added. Garfield noted that his thoughts echoed those of screenwriter Nick Payne: “There’s something universal about this story, there’s something that resonates with everyone.”
A Time to Live follows the love story of Tobias (Garfield) and Almuta (Florence Pugh), who meet by chance and learn to appreciate the moment while facing the challenges of parenthood and serious illness.
