The producers and the writer reached a compromise.
Earlier this week, fans of the fantasy series Good Intentions were shocked by the unexpected news that production on the series’ third and final season had been halted.
The fact is that writer Neil Gaiman, writer, producer and showrunner of Good Omens, was recently accused of harassment by several women. The author started to deny all the accusations, but the kennel machine could no longer be stopped – Disney froze production of the film based on The Graveyard Story and Prime Video put Good Omens on hold.

However, it seems that fans of the series starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen have nothing to worry about – insiders revealed that Gaiman offered the producers of Good Omens one good idea.
The writer reached out to Prime Video and announced that he would be leaving production on the series’ third season — he would no longer be a producer and showrunner.
Thanks to this decision, production on the third season of “Good Intentions” can begin as early as January 2025. According to insiders, Prime Video has not yet agreed to Gaiman’s terms, but experts believe it is only a matter of time.

Of course, Gaiman’s decision to leave the project isn’t an admission of guilt — fans believe the writer simply cares about them.
It was under Gaiman’s leadership that Good Omens became one of the most popular projects of our time, so fans are rightly concerned that the quality of the third season could take a big hit with the writer’s departure.
Perhaps the charges against Gaiman will be dropped in the coming months and the writer can return to the role of showrunner of the third installment of Good Omens.
