More proof that the book is much better (if you suddenly needed it).

When filming books – especially large-scale books like ‘The Lord of the Rings’ – it is of course impossible to include absolutely every moment in the film that seemed important when reading. Imagination will always be stronger than even the most powerful film techniques, but still, fans of the Tolkien universe, even for Peter Jackson, have collected many questions.

How in particular was he able to pull out these ten key moments from his adaptation of The Lord of the Rings?

10 Key Moments That Were Cut From The Lord of the Rings For One Reason Or Another

The film adaptation of Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” has caused mixed feelings among fans. On the one hand, many believe that the director managed to convey the atmosphere of Middle-earth incredibly accurately, creating a visually impressive world that fits the spirit of Tolkien’s books. After all, it’s not for nothing that Jackson’s film adaptation even managed to win an Oscar!

However, there were also critics who noted that many important points were missed – and it’s not just the absence of Tom Bombadil and the shortening of the scene with Saruman. It’s just that Tolkien’s work is really quite large in scale – even for three already long films. Despite its imperfections, Jackson’s adaptation is the closest Tolkien’s universe has been to the source material to date, which can’t be said of the recent Amazon Prime project ‘Rings of Power’.

The new series has been criticized for being loosely connected to the books and even ignoring the canon that not only Tolkien but also Peter Jackson had already established for Middle-earth. Despite this, the series was renewed for a number of seasons in advance and the new, second season was released on August 29.
