Jessa and Ben’s eldest son, son Spurgeon, Elliot Seewaldwas born on November 5, 2015. Spurgeon’s birth was featured in an episode of Counting on. It is named after the British preacher. Charles Spurgeon. A few months after Spurgeon was born, Jessa said US weekly that he had planned to raise his son differently than he had been raised in his extremely conservative family.

Jessa and Ben, Jr.’s second child. Henry Wilberforce Seewaldwas born on February 6, 2017. His birth was announced in an episode of Counting on. Jessa said she chose the name Henry for her second child because she “really liked her.” Henry’s middle name is a tribute to William Wilberforcea politician and philanthropist who helped end the slave trade.

The day after Henry was born, Jessa and Ben shared the first photo of their family of four PEOPLE. They also made a TLC video to introduce the new addition to their family. “I think it’s really amazing that we have two kids so close in age,” Jessa said in the video. “I know they’re going to be best friends and they’re going to love growing up and doing everything together, so I can’t wait to see that.”

Jessa and Ben’s third child, daughter. Ivy Jane Seewaldwas born on May 26, 2019. Like her older siblings, Ivy’s birth was featured in an episode of Counting on. Jessa and Ben’s fourth child, Fern Elliana SeewaldShe was born on July 18, 2021. Jessa revealed the name and gender of her second daughter in a “Birth Story” video on YouTube. The fern weighed 8 pounds, 5.9 ounces and was 21 inches long. The multi-part “Birth Story” also featured Ivy, Henry, and Spurgeon meeting their new brother for the first time.
