Widower Gleb Panfilov admitted why his wife did not appear on stage
Inna Mikhailovna Churikova was a talented actress who worked at the Lenkom Theater for almost half a century. However, in the last years of her life, she suffered from a serious illness.
According to Panfilov, Churikova overexerted during performances that required physical exertion. He witnessed her incredible dedication and self-sacrifice, but also noticed exhaustion and struggled with insomnia. Panfilov explained that only the greatest performers have this level of dedication.
“I remember one of her last performances, when she brought the orchestra, the stage workers and, of course, the performers to their bows. She did it so artistically, introduced everyone with such meaning that the audience applauded. She was incredibly charming. She was much more than the People’s Artist of the USSR. She was Inna Churikova, ”Panfilov told a journalist from Komsomolskaya Pravda.
