A woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted bit off her attacker’s tongue and gave it to police as evidence.
The 57-year-old woman said she was walking her dog in Avignon, France at 4 a.m. on Sunday, February 19, when a man in his 30s began following her.
He reportedly approached her, tried to hug and kiss her fiercely while at the same time running his hands down her pants.
After a fight, the woman bit off the attacker’s tongue and returned home.
She and her son then turned it in to the local police station.

Agents went to the scene and arrested the man, originally from Tunisia and believed to be in France illegally.
The man, who will be taken to court immediately and must leave France, reportedly told authorities that it was the woman who attacked him, according to France Bleu.
The incident is similar to a recent case in Spain where a woman cut off the penis of her alleged rapist.
The couple, both from Bangladesh, worked together in a bar in Sant Andreu de la Barca, near Barcelona.
The man apparently tried to rape the woman, who then cut off his penis in retaliation.
The unnamed woman contacted police to admit to her assault and the man was taken to hospital for emergency surgery so medics could try to reattach his penis.
Both were arrested by the Spanish police. The man was charged with attempted rape and the woman with assault and amputation.
