Fans of the Ocean’s Friends cinematic universe can begin to rejoice — George Clooney has officially confirmed that Warner Bros. has approved the budget for his new movie “Ocean’s Fourteen.” According to the actor, the shooting of the long-awaited sequel will begin in 2026.

In an interview with E! News Clooney said the process is currently in active preparation. “We just got budget approval from Warner Bros. and we’re trying to get everything ready. This is just planning, so we need to set a start date, we’ll probably start shooting in about nine or ten months,” the actor said.
The series about Hollywood’s most fascinating robbers began in 2001 with Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven. The film was a remake of the classic 1960 hit starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. The modern version stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Don Cheadle.

While the first film grossed over $450 million, it was followed by Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, which also broke box office records. The last movie of the series was released in 2007.
Clooney also said that he would be happy to meet his colleagues on the set again. “Yes, Brad, Matt, Don and Julia. I had dinner with Julia yesterday. We are all still very close friends. It would be great to work together again,” the actor admitted.
Let’s remember, in 2018, the “Ocean’s Eight” spin-off was released with a female cast led by Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna. The film was a success and grossed almost $300 million worldwide.
