The beauty industry is constantly developing, new cosmetic methods are emerging that can replace surgical interventions. One of these procedures is monopolar thermolifting, which appeared quite recently, but is already popular. Together with Marina Gornostaeva, chief physician of Quantum Clinic, we will understand what monopolar thermolifting is and why it is needed.

What is monopolar thermolifting?
Monopolar thermolifting is an innovative procedure that improves the condition of the epidermis and combats signs of aging. The method stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis through tissue contraction, making the skin elastic and shiny.
Thermolifting is suitable in the following cases:
– wrinkles began to appear;
– if the skin has lost its elasticity;
– symptoms of ptosis appeared.
Important: Monopolar thermolifting has no strict age restrictions. The procedure is also suitable for all skin types.
Who is suitable for monopolar thermolifting?
The expert said that the procedure is suitable for:
– age-related changes (wrinkles and reduced wrinkles);
– decreased skin elasticity (increases the firmness and elasticity of the skin of the face and body);
– loss of clarity of facial features (sharpness of the facial oval is restored);
– stretch marks and fissures (the severity of stretch marks and cracks on the body decreases);
– Post-acne and scars (visibility of scars decreases).
The method also has contraindications:
– pregnancy and breastfeeding;
– the presence of oncological diseases and oncopathology;
– the presence of implants in the treatment area;
– acute inflammation, including exacerbation of herpes;
– acute infectious and chronic diseases;
– skin damage;
– autoimmune diseases;
– mental disorders;
– tendency to abnormal scarring.
What is its difference from other procedures?
Unlike SMAS lifting, which focuses on tightening the deep muscular aponeurotic system and fatty tissue, RF lifting (monopolar thermolifting) uses radio waves for more superficial heating and stimulation of collagen in the dermis. The procedure is performed approximately once a year and is recommended for preparation for surgery and rehabilitation afterward.
“Monopolar thermolifting is combined with all cosmetic procedures, but for the best effect we recommend preparing in the form of mesotherapy and biorevitalization, and also, if indicated, combined with SMAS lifting. After the procedure, you can also carry out additional collagen stimulation,” added Marina Gornostaeva.
How is the procedure performed?
– A beautician makes a diagnosis, determines the correction zones and selects the individual parameters of the device.
– A beautician cleans the skin from cosmetics and foreign substances and disinfects it at the same time. A special conductive gel is then applied to distribute radiofrequency energy evenly and protect the epidermis.
– The doctor treats the area with a special device that transmits monopolar radio frequency waves to the deep layers of the skin.
– Heating the tissues stimulates the contraction of old collagen fibers and triggers the active synthesis of new ones. Thanks to the internal cooling and vibration system, the procedure becomes painless.
– After treating the skin, the beautician removes the remaining gel, applies a soothing cream or serum and gives care recommendations.
A slight redness may occur after the procedure and disappear within a few hours. The effect is noticeable after the first session.
Important: Before signing up for a procedure, consult a doctor who will take into account individual characteristics and draw up a plan for the procedure.
