Fans of Tim Burton are about to get an intimate look into the mind of one of cinema’s most imaginative storytellers. A brand new documentary titled Tim Burton: Life Online premieres October 23 and promises a journey through the creative chaos, artistry and heart that shaped Burton’s iconic career.

Directed by Tara Woodthe director behind QT8: The First Eightthis project marks Burton’s official documentary and will debut exclusively on a custom OTT platform, a massive independent streaming launch designed specifically for this release.

Wood is known for her unreleased documentaries, and this time she immerses herself in Burton’s world with a raw and personal approach. The film will be released directly to fans, packed with never-before-seen footage, interviews and rare artwork straight from Burton’s archives.

The blurb read: “Celebrate this Halloween by stepping into the life and mind of Tim Burton, with never-before-seen footage, artwork and personal moments from the world’s most beloved outsider.”

This four-part series brings together Burton’s closest collaborators and creative family, a who’s who of Hollywood talent that includes Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Keaton, Danny Elfman, Jenna Ortega, Christoph WaltzAND Mia Wasikowskaamong others.

The documentary traces Burton’s journey from his early days of animation at Disney to creating timeless works such as Edward Scissorhands, Batman, The nightmare before ChristmasAND Wednesday. Each chapter reveals how Burton transformed from an eccentric young artist into a cinematic visionary who redefined the aesthetic of Halloween, gave voice to outsiders, and inspired a generation of dreamers.
