“The Crown” is for sale: Producers are auctioning off 450 props and costumes to fund film school scholarships

Left Bank Pictures will auction nearly 450 props and costumes from the hit Netflix series and use the proceeds to fund a National Film and Television School (NFTS) scholarship for the next twenty years.

The Bonhams auction house will start the auction on 7 February 2024 and 150 lots will be raffled. Another 300 items will be sold online on February 8.

A source close to the proceedings estimates it could fetch at least 1 million pounds ($1.3 million), with memorabilia up for sale, including Princess Diana’s “revenge dress” as worn by Elizabeth Debicki in Season 5.

The suit is expected to fetch £12,000, while larger lots are up for sale, including a Gold State Coach reproduction which could sell for up to £50,000.
