Pete Holmes Returns as “Badman” in Fun New Comedy “Batman Saves Gotham”

Comic Pete Holmes he’s back in the cape and cowl, and Gotham has never been more uncomfortable. In his new sketch “Batman Saves Gotham,” Holmes once again transforms into “Badman,” the world’s most emotionally unstable superhero.

The setting is classic comic book drama: a bomb is about to explode with two minutes to explode, and Batman declares he will fly it over the bay. Sounds heroic, right? But instead of saving the day, he ends up trapped in a hilariously embarrassing spiral of chatter that only Badman could create.

Holmes’ version of Batman is not the stoic Dark Knight we know. This Badman is a clueless, self-centered idiot who can’t stop making every crisis deeply personal.

Whether he’s misunderstanding Bane’s motivations or taking out his emotional baggage on Commissioner Gordon, he turns Gotham’s biggest emergencies into painfully funny therapy sessions.

Batman saves Gotham continues the viral Holmes series with absurd Batman sketches that poke fun at the hero’s menacing persona and take it to gloriously strange new levels.
