Jeremy Renner says he wrote “last words” on his phone from the hospital after the Jan. 1 snow plow accident that left him in critical condition.
In an interview with Diane Sawyer, airing Thursdays at 10 a.m. ET on ABC — and further teased today Good morning America – The Avengers: Endgame The actor said he would have died after being run over by his own snowplow had it not been for his cousin Alex.
“If I had been there by myself,” Renner, who is in a wheelchair, tells Sawyer, “it would have been a horrible way to die, and it certainly would have been me. Sure. But I wasn’t alone – it was my cousin, dear Alex, and [then] the rest of the pain came.”
Sawyer appears GMA with additional clips tomorrow, co-host George Stephanopoulos said. Check out the clip released today below.
