Plastic surgeon Valery Piskarev has detailed standard male penis dimensions on his Instagram account to reassure men who worry about their size.

Piskarev stated that while many men experience anxiety over the dimensions of their genitals, it is essential to look at the facts. According to the surgeon, 80 percent of men have an erect length measuring between 11 and 15 centimetres.
The specialist added that for the remaining 20 percent of men, length falls outside those boundaries in either direction, measuring either larger or smaller. Piskarev emphasised that the vast majority of men fall within the normal range.
Normal penis circumference and dimensions
Addressing thickness, Piskarev pointed to global statistical data regarding average circumference in both resting and aroused states. He explained that the average circumference of a flaccid penis measures between eight and nine centimetres.
When fully erect, the average circumference measures between 11 and 12 centimetres, according to the surgeon. He reiterated that men should assess their anatomy against these objective figures rather than unverified expectations.
Piskarev shared the advice on his personal Instagram account. The social media service is owned by Meta, which has been designated as an extremist organisation and banned in the Russian Federation.
Plastic surgery is a medical specialty focused on the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. Surgeons working in aesthetic and reconstructive medicine frequently encounter men troubled by anxiety over genital appearance, often fuelled by unrealistic portrayals in media or misunderstandings about normal human variation.
Male health myths and testosterone levels
The advice on physiological norms follows previous guidance from urologist Jamshed Fozilov, who dispelled common myths surrounding male masturbation. Fozilov assured men that self-pleasure does not cause any decrease in testosterone levels in the blood.
Urology is the branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the urinary system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists frequently address persistent misconceptions regarding sexual health, fertility, and hormonal regulation that circulate widely among patients without scientific backing.
Testosterone is the principal male sex hormone and an anabolic steroid, produced primarily by the Leydig cells in the testes. It plays a critical physiological role in regulating bone density, fat distribution, muscle mass, red blood cell production, and libido throughout a man's life.
Medical research confirms that routine sexual activity and ejaculation do not deplete hormone reserves or harm long-term endocrine health. Specialists note that regular biological functions remain stable, reinforcing Fozilov's reassurances regarding normal male physiology.
