Breast cancer symptoms outlined by oncologist Ibragimov

Women should watch for armpit lumps and skin changes that resemble orange peel, oncologist Elkhan Ibragimov warned in advice on breast cancer symptoms.

Breast cancer symptoms outlined by oncologist Ibragimov

Oncologist Elkhan Ibragimov has highlighted key breast cancer symptoms, urging women to seek medical help if they discover lumps or unexpected skin changes.

The specialist said a firm lump in the breast tissue or around the armpit area serves as the primary warning sign of the condition, which remains the most common form of cancer affecting women.

Ibragimov shared his clinical observations on his Instagram account, describing several visible and physical alterations that women should watch for during routine breast checks.

Beyond noticeable lumps, the oncologist warned that alterations to the shape, contour, or outer surface of the breast can signal an underlying illness. These warning signs include unexplained localized swelling, redness, and the inward pulling or retraction of the nipple.

He drew specific attention to skin that takes on the rough texture of an orange peel, where small dimples and indentations appear across the breast tissue. Unprompted discharge from the nipples represents another potential symptom of concern, particularly when the fluid contains traces of blood.

Common signs of breast cancer

Ibragimov emphasized that the presence of these symptoms does not automatically mean a person has cancer. Many benign conditions can cause similar bodily changes, but he advised that anyone noticing these warning signs should consult a qualified physician for a professional assessment.

Breast cancer occurs when cells within the breast tissue mutate and multiply out of control, most commonly originating in the milk ducts or surrounding lobules. It stands as the most frequently diagnosed malignant disease among women across the globe, leading public health authorities worldwide to prioritize early symptom awareness.

The distinctive orange peel texture highlighted by Ibragimov, known medically as peau d'orange, develops when invasive cells block the tiny lymphatic channels located beneath the skin. This blockage traps fluid and causes localized tissue swelling, which forces the hair follicles and skin pores to pucker inward like the skin of a citrus fruit.

Medical screening and cancer prevention

Medical guidelines encourage women to become familiar with the natural look and feel of their breasts so that changes can be spotted promptly. When patients report unusual lumps or skin modifications, clinicians typically employ diagnostic tools such as mammography, ultrasound imaging, and tissue biopsies to reach an accurate diagnosis.

The advice follows earlier guidance from oncologist Rasul Akhmaev, who explained that individuals have the ability to influence their personal likelihood of developing oncological conditions.

Akhmaev stated that lifestyle choices can affect cancer risks, but he cautioned that no preventative measures can entirely remove the chance of falling ill. Because the threat of cancer cannot be fully eliminated through personal habits alone, he urged people to undergo regular medical checkups and preventative health screenings.
