Couple attacked in Dodger Stadium parking lot after Elton John concert

Elton John is retiring from touring and one of his last stops was Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Although it was supposed to be a night of partying, a couple was brutally attacked after one of John’s concerts.

A man was knocked unconscious Thursday, Nov. 17, after suffering a “fender flex,” Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez told the City News Service.

Although details of the incident are not clear, police are investigating the situation. A man and his wife were involved in an accident after the “Rocket Man” singer performed at the stadium. The couple got out of their vehicle and things escalated into violence, Lopez said.

A woman beat another woman and a man beat another man. Video immediately after the attack shows a man lying motionless on the ground and continuing to be attacked – possibly by multiple attackers – while others try to stop and contain the violence. The man’s wife pulls her hair as she tries to see how her husband is doing.

Everyone was gone when the police arrived,” Lopez said.

Officers took the victims to a hospital, where they received medical treatment and took a report of a suspected battery. The man suffered a concussion and a broken ankle, CBS2 reported.

The station reported that the man’s wife said she tried to revive him for about 45 minutes, believing him to be dead, before she finally regained consciousness.

TMZ released a video that captured some of the violence and reported that the victims were both in their 60s.

A woman claiming to be the victim’s daughter – and a nurse – posted on Instagram on Friday that her father was in hospital with fractures and head injuries, but both parents were “unconscious on the floor”.

She claimed that four men and two women attacked the couple and that neither bystanders nor security forces tried to stop them, and is now asking the public for help in identifying the alleged attackers.
