In a new interview with GQ, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney called internet trolls “disgusting” who took screenshots of her nude scenes on the show and offended her family with them.
“It got to the point where they started tagging my family. My cousins don’t need it. “This is absolutely disgusting and unfair,” he said.
However, she stated that this only encouraged her to keep her job: “I think it’s funny. I’m an artist, I play characters. Now I want to play characters that piss people off more.
Sydney also added, “People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, ‘Oh, she’s naked on screen, she’s a sex symbol.'” And I can’t get over it. I don’t have a problem with those scenes and I’m not going to stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have a frank conversation about what we think about the actors in the industry.”
