Get ready for a cinematic mission that could rival the size of the games themselves. Paramount and Activision are officially teaming up Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) AND Peter Berg (Lone survivor) to bring call of Duty to the big screen.
The long-awaited adaptation of one of the most successful video game franchises in history is finally taking shape, with Sheridan and Berg at the helm both behind the camera and on the page. They are the perfect team of talents to bring it to life!
Sheridan and Berg will write the screenplay, with Berg directing. Both will also produce the film, together with David Glasser. Sheridan and Berg have been close friends for years and have worked together before Hell or high waterwhich earned four Oscar nominations including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for Sheridan The river of the wind.
Paramount has reportedly wanted to bring the pair on board since the summer, waiting for Sheridan to decide whether he would just produce or also write. After some deliberation, he decided to do both, reuniting with Berg for another raw, emotionally charged story.
