Billy plays Candy Montgomery, a Texas housewife and mother who did everything right in the 1980s: a good husband, two kids, a nice house, even careful planning and crime. But when the pressure to conform increases within him, his actions only require some freedom. With deadly consequences.
In the trailer, Candy’s future victim says to Betty (Melanie Linsky), “The kindness and friendship you show, you’re just a lover.”

Candy UCP was acquired by 20th Television, part of Universal Studio Group and Disney Television Studios. Three-time Emmy-nominated Robin Waite wrote the pilot and directed by Michael Upendal. Veith and Uppendahl also co-produced with Nick Antoska and Alex Hedlund under the title Eat the Cat, with Jim Atkinson and John Bloom for Iron Ocean with Biel and Michelle Purple.
