Former Russian athlete Elizaveta Polstyanaya, who received Latvian citizenship in 2018, said she was not allowed to compete at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships held in September.
According to Elizaveta, the Olympic Committee set her a condition: she either renounces Russian citizenship and continues to play for Latvia, or does not refuse, but is then expelled from the national team.
